Tailight help

On my 90 suburban when I step on the brakes or hit the turn signal my back driver side taillight works but when I turn on my headlights the back taillight doesn't come on but still the blinker and brake light work. Any suggestions on what that might be?

bad bulb...

Those are dual filament bulbs and the one filament is burnt out.

I already tried the bulb and that didn't help

if the bulb didnt fix it try grounding the tail light housing better

I'm inclined to think corroded contacts in the socket, or grounding of the bulb. Check the ground wire is intact going to the body or frame, and then clean the connectors. Get thee a toothbrush and mix some baking soda in water and go to town.

I had wacky issues with my back drivers side taillights. I ended up resplicing it all back there. It suxd big time. Good luck.

Well turns out all my trouble was a broke wire but thanks for all the help.
