Taillight gremlin

I picked up an 83 K5 a few months back, and have been slowly going through it making it roadworthy. Its been sitting for a long time, and when you hook up the batteries the left rear parking light comes on. The brake lights work, and everything comes on when you pull the headlight switch. But that one back light stays on. Any thoughts or suggestions on where to start looking? Thanks.

Check for a bad ground on one of the running lights. Mine did that exact same thing and it was a bad ground on the right front running light.

+ 1 ground.... may also want to change all the bulbs in the back.. sometimes a screwed up bulb and make funny things happen
