Hi guys! I'm new on here and have read other posts about removing the tailpan. Here's the story: I picked up an '87 K5 w/ 4 inch lift and almost new 33x14.50 swamper ssr's for $1100. Its got a solid frame which is hard to find in these 20+ year old Blazers in Northern West Virginia. The body was a different case. My problems now that I am starting to work on it, begins with the tailpan. I'm having difficulty to remove it. It was rusted out completely on both sides that bolt to the quarter panels but the center part is still solid. This might be a stupid question, but what do i need to do to take it out? Do I need to unbolt the body mounts to finish removing it or is it welded somewhere? Any help is appreciated!!
