I dont have a dog in this fight, but, having bought 4 blazers in the past, it is nice when the pictures match the actual truck, especially when someone is bidding on something they cant see. I saw someone dog the lawyers in this post, but here I am, the lawyer/ wheeler. What you did was at the very least misrepresentation of the product, at most FRAUD. At the very least, its unethical and will buy you no brownie points around here. I heard you say it was an honest mistake, but if you knew that was not a picture of your truck, then you CHOSE to post it. It was a mistake, just not an honest one.

I cancelled the ebay auction, relisted it for another $100 and corrected the pictures. As you will see the item description remains unchanged. Any more lies, deception, and straight out false advertisement that you guys can find in there, go ahead and enlighten me. Once again, I am very disapointed at the level of intelligence and the lynchmob attitude that you all have shown.

gj in correcting the boo-boo. Hopefully lessons were learned and things like that won't happen in the future. Copyright/fraud laws are no joke and as a government employee I'm sure you're aware of that. Anyway, glad you took the time to post and clear things up. Hopefully you will find a more happy-happy topic to discuss in the future. Now, go out and catch some terrorists.

I would state that in the auction that this is kind of what it looks like and will put the correct pics up later...however... since it is an auction... who cares if it takes 1 more day to post the auction even with pics because it is still a 7 day (if that is what you chose) auction....

You got to look at this from a buyer's point of view. If the picture in an ad is a picture of a different vehicle, and not the one for sale (no matter how much better or worse the condition), then of course you are going to think the ad is a false misrepresentation of the actual vehicles condition. The average buyer would probably never notice the difference between (Sapper's) truck and yours, but if you got someone that is more knowledgeable (like the people here at coloradoK5.com), then they are definitely going see the difference. I know I can imediatly see differences between sapper's truck and yours.

The whole death threat was just a joke, or thats what I was going on. We are all a friendly family here. I feel like everyone on here is one of my brothers. Were just looking out for our brothers, and sisters!

Well, first off let me put my flame suit on. :flame suit: I think everyone except Sapper has made a complete ass of themselves and of CK5. This had nothing to do with any of you, yet you got involved. What really just pisses me off is that no one let Sapper at least contact the guy first to get the story before blasting him with completely inappropriate emails. The ones of you that sent him ****ty emails had better be glad it was not me, because I would had all your asses on a plate. I guess some of you have not grown up enough to learn to let people deal with thier own problems before getting invlolved. I unserstand this guys side and would like to apologize for the rest of CK5.com for the actions of the morons amongst us and I am sorry your post had to be in defense of yourself. With that said the rest if you that are going to flame me can kiss my white one as walk out to my balzer to peel the CK5 sticker off the windshield.

If your'e talking to me, I didn't send anyone an e-mail. I don't necessarily disagree with those who did ( depending on what they said), but I didn't. Death threats are probably a little extreme.
The guy did a stupid thing, and having a little fun at his expense on this BB should be expected if you pull something like that. It is also fraud, and is just flat wrong IMO.

There are a few point that I would like to point out First of all to the guy that went out to take off the CK5 sticker. Yes all the e-mails wasn't called for by people on CK5. I almost sent one right after I read it. But wanted the owner of the vehicle to contact the person that is selling. The seller of the truck should have made it clear that that wasn't his rig. And that he corrected the auction. When I saw that auction at first I didn't look at all the pic's until it was brought to my attention here, but I would have been pissed off if I had bought it and then it wasn't what I saw in the pic's!

1. K5freak44: I am 32, I grew up with a K-5, always had a loud stereo, and since I was redoing the entire interior, including fixing the rusted out floor, I decided to try dynamatting the entire truck, which made an absolute night and day difference. The truck is loud to begin with, but with the dynamat and now the freshly laid carpet, it is shockingly quiet. If you want to see pics of the dynamat install shoot me an email at [email protected]. Just because I am 32 does not mean I have to drive a prissy car and act like an old man. I LOVE my truck, I am transferring overseas to Germany for a 3 year contract and I can only take one vehicle, that would be our Honday Pilot.
2. Okiemuddog: Thanks so much for sticking up. I have talked to a few members on this site for help with the floors I redid, welding tips for rocker panels, etc and I have had nothing but complete gentlemen and very good info. Of course I would expect there to be a jackass or two in the bunch, but when I received 20+ emails in one night all with the same sick attitude, it took me by surprise. Thanks for one of the only positive responses in this thread.
3. Muddyblzr: Because I read but do not post that makes me sketchy? Are you retarded? Some people go to site to gain knowledge and get some much needed tips. This is a great site for that. I do not need to post in order to feel like part of the crew, I have gotten more knowledge from this site then I ever could out of a chiltons manual, and all this without even posting, can you believe it?!

OK. Since you have your flame suit on, I guess ill send you a little heat. First off, you better be glad it wasnt you who did it because it would be your ass on the plate. No matter which way you turn it or what excuse he gives (even if his excuse is actually what happened; i.e he didnt have any pics of his truck so he posted another similar looking vehicle) this is illegal. Yes, thats right, illegal. Look at the rules of ebay and you will see this. If someone would have reported him to ebay, then ebay could have taken a range of actions against him. According to ebay these actions could include, "listing cancellation, limits on account priveleges, account supervision, forefit of ebay fees on cancelled items, and/or law enforcement notification." That came directly from ebay. Hmmm. Law enforcement notification. Whos ass would be on the plate for that??Okiemuddog said:

The other guys truck doesnt even deserve to be on the same page (legally or illegally in this case). The fact that you are standing up for the guy kind of scares me. I wonder what people are thinking when they stand up for someone who is trying to defraud people into buying their junk.
And for the guy who posted this on ebay I have something to say to you too. I really hope that someone who is protecting our country knows the difference between what is right and what is wrong. This was wrong in all aspects. It also seems fishy that you say you really love ck5 but you arent even a paying member. If you really are as devout to ck5 and love it as much as you say, then why dont you "pay up sucker" and become a real member? And dont use the excuse that you dont have the $25 it takes to become a full member, because I know how much dynamat costs.
