I went playing in the sandy puddles here in NJ. Got temporarily lodged in one and took on about 2-3 inches of water. In time I plan to remove all the carpet. I am looking for recommendations on what I could do. This is a family wheeling rig so I would like to keep noise down for longer trips. I was just thinking of removing the carpet and putting down a bed liner of some sort but I am not sure how much more noise that would create then it does with carpet.

I didn't think it would. I just wanted that for a protective coating possibly. I was thinking about putting the rubber floor over it from LMC or something similar. I guess it will be trial and error and if it ends up a little louder in the cab its still better than soggy carpet.

I hear the lizard skin spray-on sound deadener works pretty well... but I doubt it'd ever be as quite as padding and carpet even if you did top and bottom.....

I know Mutt got a fair bit louder with the carpet out...

Thanks for the input. I find it hard to find the right posts searching directly on CK5. When I searched through google, however, it took me right to some CK5 posts that indirectly answered my question. As soon as I get some time and find some new seats, I'm gonna start ripping out the interior and line the floor then put down one of the vinyl floors. Just not sure which one yet.
