talkin' 'bout shocks

on my rear when i took off the perches i also removed the stock shock mounts b/c they hung down past the axle tube...i had intentions of making some that uses the factory top mounts, but w/tabs above the axle tube, look kinda like they did off the bottom, but off the top reaching upwards....now my question is...since i will be moveing the shock mount just a little over 6''s up, and i have 12'' lift springs, would a 6'' lift shock work w/the mount moved up like discribed?

Theoretically.


However you'd probably want to do some measuring and research before ordering. Not everyone's idea of a 6" shock is the same.

You'll be better off figuring out the extended and compressed lengths you need instread.
