surfing the web yesterday, and I ran across this, discuss:

rest of the pics are here: http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2501214

I just don't get it. Such a waste of money, time and effort.

My wife says the taller the better. She thinks it is one cool truck. Of course I think it is absolutely horrible.

what do you think the replies are going to be when you put a pic like this up on a mainly rock crawler site?

i am sure he did not build it to take to moab or florence or black bear pass or any other such trail, he built it to suit his needs and wants, which i would say would be the show and parade circuit. it is his truck and i am sure he is real proud of it. if i saw it, i would take the time to talk to him and check it out as obviously quite a bit of time and engineering went into it.

i would not be surprised in a few years if all our places to wheel were gone, simply because of the attitude that "i am a rock crawler therefore i am king and all others are not worthy." we need to work together with all to ensure this sport continues in all its different venues.

OMG....Did you guys all look at the rest of the pics? I think his captions ar ethe absolute best!!! That may be the single lamest truck I have ever seen. The biggest waste of money ever. Where could you even drive it? Not on the street, sure as hell not on the trail.....

This is almost an insult to Bigfoot...

Is that what they mean by "push-pull" steering? :haha:

All that "time and engineering" and he could figure out hydraulics:rolleyes:

Looks like double crossover with a bellcrank. The rod ends appear to be mounted in double shear. Nothing inherently wrong with it.

Hydraulics would have taken less engineering.

The sheer size of the arm, and they way its pushing is less than ideal as far as stresspoints go... For as much as this drives its fine im sure. Still better, safer, cheaper soultions were available...

as much as this truck in its own right is cool and a what seems to be a pretty well built truck for what it is, not alot of the best ideas behind it but whatever, the truck is pointless. i have no idea how tall it is but i'm sure you couldnt drive it here in iowa due to street lights and power lines. i understand probly why he did it, he likes 4wd trucks and likes show trucks and watned to make an overly tall truck and as cool as it maybe, IMO the truck is still pointless.
