PAGING RYOKEN! can I mix paint into my bedliner and not mess it up? or do I need to sell it to Turbine?

Honestly, without going down and checking my can of Herculiner for ingredients, I'd be guessing.. Tho I've mixed tons of crazy stuff at work, heck I've tinted enamel and urethane paint with polyester tint, but I have little experience with the bedliners...

Best bet would be to make a tiny sample batch and see how it dries... I'm guessing your best paint/tint would be another air-dried product, something like rustoleum...

properly primed with black herc on top would be my choice for a finish....

grip tape was suggested in some PM's. keep in mind that the bed is 70" long. I carry a 44" spare. that leaves me 26" if I do not hang the tire past the end of the bed any, which I am considering doing. kind of a poor mans bumper. I would rather back the tire against something before the edge of the bed.

So if I use the small box I have now I will have about a 6" space between the tire and box. I also need to figure out a way to mount my Hi-lift.

Maybe I can get Artzner to photoshop it the same color as the body.

Before you spend anymore money you need to get some wheels and tires for the front!!:eek1: :haha: :haha:

I was wondering if anybody would say anything. I replaced the waterpump, radiator and steering box. its a lot easier to work on at that height and with that much clearance in the wheelwells.

To Turbine? I thought you would wait till I got my 3rd, or 4th set! :haha: :haha:

some detail pics. this is how I mounted my toolbox temporarily. I did not want to drill unnecessary holes in the bed since I will be moving the box once I get a fuel cell. The tabs are stainless steel. I bolted them under the bed mounting bolts and then bolted through the side of the box. all stainless hardware too. Is that overkill? may be but I like it. I would have made the bed in stainless but then I would have had to pay for the materials.

I forgot that I never posted the painted pics. these were taken with the tire and box just sitting on the bed. I was measuring out for a future cell. I can fit it, the box and the spare. but just barely. I need to hang the tire of the end some. It will serve as my el cheapo bumper.

Sure! You want the original window sticker put back in it too? :D

no need to go that far. all one color would be enough. I have new fenders for it I will be putting on. I just have to get it off the trailer so I can work on it. Thats what I get for being a nice guy.:wink1:
