tapered reamer part # or web site

I can get the part number from a buddy but it will be next week before I can get a hold of him so pm me if you don't get a response so i don't forget

I got mine from XKUT on ebay. Best price I could find. It was the straight cut one which only works well at enlarging existing taperes.

Some other info I found in my search
Chadwick Reamers 877-492-8249
85020 Taper 1.5"/ft. Range 7/16"-1". Spiral cut, 6 flute. 1/2" shank with hole and handle pin, 01 tool steel treated to Rockwell 60 hardness. $50.40.
85500 Taper 2"/foot. Range 3/8"-1-1/8". $70.88.
I have both and I'm happy with them. These are the best prices I was able to find.

FWIW I think I payed something like $35 for mine (under $40 w/ shipping). I have heard the snap-on one is about the same price (I don't have the p/n off hand but you might be able to search pirate for it).

I used Snap-on p/n r-121 to enlarge the hole in my pittman arm. It was priced well ~$35 and despite a few questionable reviews of it on Pirate, it worked well for me. I was able to do it on my lathe and suggest that a lathe, drill press, or milling machine would do a better job than a handheld drill. Foer me it was worth it, the reamer looks rough and dull when new, not razor sharp like the reamers I am used to, but it worked, and now it shows signs of use, but none of wear.

Yes # r-121 is the snap-on part number, its price is $44.00 I will be picking mine up monday.

later
