Tapping D60 stud holes?

I just realized that my front spring pad hole on the diff housing is stripped out . Has anyone tried retapping with a bigger size or have any other tricks that might work? And yes I do have bolts and not studs in them.

can you heli coil it? i hear heli coil is stronger then original.
