Ok, so I got rid of my C10's neutral/ reverse light switch on the column. Why? Cause I mounted the column 3" or so farther down. With it missing, I decided to buy the Lokar unit that mounts to the Trans pan and works off the armature on the shifter shaft. Well, come to find out, the bracket doesn't work when there is a shift position sensor on the shaft like my trans has. So I'm left with making an adapter to use the Lokar trigger or maybe pick up the shaft position from the sensor. what do you think?

I'm not sure the factory manual lever position sensor uses a 12V signal, maybe just reference voltage if you were planning to tap into that wire.

The good news is that your 4L60e NSBU switch is called a "Neutral / Safety & Backup Switch" for good reason. The switch on your transmission has provisions to switch your reverse lights. There is a light green wire coming out to go to your reverse lights and a similar gauge pink wire which goes to a fused ignition source to supply the power for them.

Really? So the big plug on the side of the shifter, if I open up the wire loom and find those wires that's all I need? Where do the wires go now that the drivetrain isn't in the original truck? :/ hmmm

This connector correct? I see both colors but a little confused how it works. I don't know where either wire is coming from or going. Unfortunately I'm not at a point where I can feed 12v to the system and check.

Sounds like, if the pink wire gets 12v through the ECM, it should still supply 12v to the green wire in it's current state. Or do I need to cut that pink wire and add my own 12v? Then cut the green wire and run it directly to my reverse lights.

:/

That doesn't look like the correct connector. Your index finger is pointing at the PNBU switch. It's the black thing on the side of the transmission that the shifter linkage passes through.

Yeah, the white connector in my hand was connected to the large black box that surrounds the shifter shaft. It contains all those wires in it.

Okay, I haven't seen that style of connector before. You'll want to measure for 12V coming in on the pink wires and make sure the light green wire isnt hooked up to anything else before you start cutting anything. You should get 12v on the light green wire while in reverse as well.

Thats the right connector. Its the newer version where its all in one connector and not 2.

Pin 10 and 11. Pink and grey. Pink is supply, grey to lights.

Awesome.
Would you happen to know where pink gets power? I'm just concerned about that since this is a drivetrain swap and I dont have a complete harness and fuse box anymore. Thanks
