I'm about to undertake dropping an 89 350 TBI motor in to a 1986. I'll be happy to get rid of all that plumbing BS. I've got a complete motor and upper end including wire harness and computer.

I assume there's probably a few good docs and links to help out. The good news... I've got another 89 to refer too.

Pretty sure I'll at least have to add a low volume e fuel pump.

If..... I rework this motor to a true roller setup and put in a new or different cam... Do I need to reprogram?

Yes, anything that changes the factory vacuum or fuel characteristics will need done.

There are 3-4 stickies at the top of the page for the injection section, several links inside to places like moates.net.

It's all doable though

If you can get your hands on one (link in my sig is one way, sometimes paper copy found on ebay is easier to use IMO) the factory service manual/wiring diagram for the '89 is going to be very useful.

Don't know how much different the C/K wiring was from the R/V series, one would hope it would be near identical, but being a different body, I assume the newer fuse panel won't just bolt in?
