Getting ready to drop a new GM crate in my truck.

Need to get rid of the one that is coming out. It runs, i've driven it for the last 50k. No idea how old it is, but pretty sure its a crate within the last 100-150k miles.

Having some cooling issues, etc. but never overheated.

Its in my truck, and running, til Wednesday or thursday.

Then it will be out of the vehicle.

Anyone want this? Use to rebuild?

No idea what its worth. Lets say $300obo. Make me an offer. Would much rather deal with someone on here than craigslist for this type of a sale.

Hit me up if you are interested, and if you act quick, you can hear it run!

Would be a great temp. motor to buy someone some time, or a good rebuild candidate. But obviously, if it ran like new, i wouldn't be replacing it.

Looking for feedback. Is the price high?

What is a motor like this worth?

Motor swap has begun, and very soon I'll have a motor that needs to be gone....

Shoot me offers before i'm tempted to make this a reality:

Hit me up with offers. Between all the vehicles that are at my house, the yard full of automotive waste chemicals, trying to buy a house, and starting boat season......i need another "artistic" project like i need a hole in the head.

Lets work something out, and you can come pick it up, with your radiator :haha:

I basically need to make more on it than its worth in scrap and my time to dispose.

let me think about it and see if the wife will allow me to bring home another block. last time i did that she threatend castration.
but i should be going up to grass valley to pick up tires this weekend so i'd be coming back by your way.
i'll let you know which way we decide.

$200?

I've got a cherry picker to load for a couple days too.

Cash talks.

Listed on CL for $110.

$75 bucks for the first CK5 member who wants to pick it up. Don't have a hoist anymore.

Oh, and ran the numbers on it. Original from the truck :eek1:

262k on the clock, unless it was worked over at some point.

I tried giving away my old sbc lol. No takers haha

Figured it was worth something to someone, but we'll find out.

Figured once you get it below the value in scrap, it would disappear pretty easy.

That was my thought also. Mine ran but the bottom end was toast :doah:

What was it doing?
why did you change it?
I might be interested.
There is enough stuff now for me to maybe do a parts run in the bay area.

It was just getting tired. And with 260k on it, very understandable.

With the amount I tow and rely on this rig, i needed it to be in top condition.

Oil pressure was consistent and still high, but it idled pretty rough on cold start.

I've got it back on the factory pallet/crate from the crate motor, because i thought it might be getting returned to GM as a core.

I've got it on rolling dollies, so its easy to get out of the garage. Just don't have a way to load it.

Let me know if you want to chat more about it. Happy to let you swing by my house and grab it whenever is convenient Iceman.
