Installed a crate vortec engine into my 89 k5 with tbi fuel injection. Have gotten everything pretty much squared away with the exception of the Throttle bracket . Factory bracket wont bolt up on the vortec intake without modification and would rather not use the ugly stamped bracket. Wanted to see what has been done to solve this issue. I have a vortec edelbrock carb intake. non egr, with modded and bored tb and using a one inch tb spacer.
Also would like to keep my cruise control intact since its there and useable but not necessary. Mainly just want the tv cable and throttle cable to be correct. I have installed the edelbrock vortec bracket on the back two intake bolts but its made for vortec engine with carb not tbi and designed to be used without tbi spacer.
Please help me out guys on how this issue has been solved!!!

Edelbrock sold an adjustable bracket for Vortecs in the past. Call them (on their tech line) and see if they can hook you up. They've helped me in the past.

What intake did you use?

I reuse the stock bracket with my GMPP intake, I think I had to slightly bend it.

I was told the spacer is unnecessary with an aftermarket intake.
