tbi charcoal canister

I'm narrowed up front too , and there is just enough room next to radiator to get a bolt through the bracket , so I kept my can .

If you are running a stock tank with a breather, don't do it.

Will not affect performamce one way or the other however. Just a good way to vent a stock tank.

Thats how I have had it for a while now.

Im running a fuel cell, but I tapped into the same vent line.
I just wanna take out stuff I dont need.

I'd keep it, it cuts way down on gas fumes from the tank. It doesn't hurt performance at all.

The guy that built my motor said it helps with vacuum running a bigger cam.... true or false?

Pitch it!

Vent your fuel tank up higher.

The ECM is programmed to account for the gasoline fumes that pass through the charcoal canister and are drawn into the throttle body. It is something of an expected vaccum leak (though slightly less serious as it is drawing on a slightly flammable atmosphere.

That said, I've never had any TBI ECM set a code based on the loss of the charcoal canister.

If there is room for it, keep it - they don't weigh much and they even (very slightly) improve your fuel economy.
