Tbi code 44

Are you using the autozone tool?

I remember looking at that thing, and there was no way I could extend the hose. Stupid setup in that regard. Were it mine, I'd cut and splice the hose with a couple of barbed fittings, assuming you didn't want it permanently affixed.

If it's anything like the one in the kit I have, it's just a double threaded tube looking thing, it goes IN PLACE of the filter, remove the filter, put that in it's place, but yeah, you can't really watch it unless someone helps you by stepping on the throttle while you're under there watching it. It should be reading a certain pressure under idle anyways, if that's low, it certainly won't be enough when the throttle is hit.

Even just having it in park you should be able to tell by punching the throttle, if it's doesn't stay steady or climb a bit there's a problem.

I put my phone @ the gauge, to record. but it only happens when I'm driving. It just feels like it ****s off and if I let off the gas and get back on it it will come back but other than that

Check the sensor for Resistance. I'm not sure what the readings are but maybe someone else will. I think it is a high resistance and slowly get less as the engine warms up. Computer reads a ohm reading to tell what temp the sensor is Reading. If the computer sees a fault like unplugging the sensor, to See if It runs Better, it will Hold that code. You can try unplugging The Battery to reset the computer and see if the code returns. Unplugging the sensor makes the computer default to run like its -44 outside temps. So it will dump fuel like Crazy and will make it Run almost normal if The fuel Pump is going bad. You will get about a Minute of good running until it goes into normal mode. Get under with the guage and push the gas with a broom stick oe something. If it's running and the pressure is below 9 psi , the pump isn't running hardly enough.

Check your vacuum hoses, especially the ones going to the EGR valve and the EGR solenoid. I was having stumbling and stalling issues for a bit with mine, I THINK it was due to the hose on the solenoid being switched to the vent port, instead of the vacuum side.

I switched them around and haven't had a stalling/stumbling issue yet.

I even had the coolant temp sensor code come up as well, I switched it with a new one and still did it.
