Thinking of putting my 96 yukon 350 vortec into my 87 blazer. Is this doable? How hard for a self taught guy who's done everything but an engine or tranny rebuild? THanks

Have to get a different intake manifold, and prom chip. everything else should be good to go, but use 87 brackets and accessories.

skip the over expensive Vortec TBI intake and go with a regular Vortec intake and use an adapter plate, much cheaper and better performance to boot.

do you have emissions? if not, now would be a good time to eliminate AIR and EGR, they dont really hurt milage any by removing them, and they dont help it by keeping it, so long as you've got a good tune.

sounds like he wants to swap the whole motor...

should be easy to do. will bolt right in but im not sure about wiring...the vortecs use mpfi so it woudld need the vortec harness would need to be reworked...
