So i got some stock fuel lines that run off the tbi down the firewall and to the frame. Only problem is I cant get them to fit. anyone have a pic of theirs? they are hitting my firewall and not allowing me to get them screwed in to the back of the throttle body.

any help would be appreciated, thanks!

Here's some not so great pics of mine. In the first pic you can just make out the line fitting at the back of the throttle body. In the second pic, the line with the little white tag is the fuel line(s). They are about an inch off the firewall. There is a clamp at the back of the head that holds the lines in place.

Would unbolting the tranny from the crossmember and jacking it up to raise the back of the motor help? You must be having fun working in the tight confines and being bent over a fender reaching across everything.

Hope it helps, good luck!

raising the motor could help, might try that. :D I dont have fenders! So I can just stand on my axle and work :thumb: I also bought the fuel line adapters from aztpi.com so I could run them after I got the stock ones in, so I might just end up bending those and running FI hose down to the lines I have. I will have to see what is easier.

Eventually I will change them to AN fittings and line but for now I want to do it cheap to get it running first.

Thanks for the pics! Those are helpful!

Any time! I'm going out to remove all the PTO covers on a 205/465 to clean, paint and reseal them! That ought to look nice against all the old oil and dirt on them.

Sometimes it sucks, but I love working on my truck. It's the first time I've done all my own work.

Hope you enjoy it as much as I do!

Sometimes I do enjoy it, other times it pisses me off :doah: . But I always love the finished result. But I am very stoked to get it running again, she hasnt ran in over a year.

Mine hasn't run since I blew up the 10bolt last Sept., then a herniated disc, then surgery, then recovery. Now I can finally work on it. A little every day. I'm hoping on driving it by the end of the month. Mid May is probably more realistic though.

Out to the driveway, take it easy!

good luck and have fun! its beautiful out here so i am going to be working in the sun for once in the last 8 months

Unbolting the t-case crossmember and lowering it will give you more room than raising it.

Unbolt the throttlebody and then move it around to get the lines screwed in and them bolt it back down, I have had to do that till I changed to flexible lines from another truck.
