Planning on running the in tank stock pumps with my carb. Going to run a pressure regulator on it. I know the in tank pumps are the vain style, suppose to be a longer life type pump.

Do you think i would run the risk of burning up the pump by chocking them down to the 5-7psi a carb would require? If so should i run a return style regulator? Thanks.

I think a return style pressure regulator is an excellent idea to help keep the in-tank fuel pump cool. I have not used an in-tank pump for a carburetor. Years ago I used to use a return style pressure regulator with a frame mounted fuel pump on a carburetor.

I used a pressure regulator similar to the Aeromotive linked here. http://aeromotiveinc.com/products-p...-regulators/13301-universal-bypass-regulator/

A return regulator is not only an excelent idea. It is a must have. The pump needs a lot of fuel running thru it to keep it cool. As long as you run a regulator with a return you can turn down pressure as much as you want. You will burn out the stock intank pump if you dont use a return.
