TBI idle issues

I messed with it again the other day. Buddy gave me a new TPS, so threw that on. Checked EGR, nothing. Had it running, looking stuff over, grabbed the throttle and pulled it back to see if it would idle down. To my surprise it did. Got looking some more, and someone knocked the plug out for the idle speed. Got the torx out, turned the idle down, idles perfect now. I think they may have done that to keep the oil pressure up, it reads almost zero now. Could be a bad sender, goes up to 45 when the R's go up.

Once you mess with the base idle screw you now need to readjust the TPS switch and reset the IAC motor. The base idle screw affects both of those other items.

Trying to remember if it was before or after I pulled the fuses for the ECMs...I'll do it again to be on the safe side...

What does pulling fuses have to do with anything? You do know how to set the IAC motor don't you?

I did it on my old S-10, but that was last year. Have to push the plunger in and turn or something?

In the TBI trucks you jump the A and B terminal in the ALDL connector then turn the ignition to the on position (do not start engine) and wait for 30 seconds then disconnect the IAC wiring connector and then remove the A/B jumper and start the engine and adjust base idle. Once adjusted shut the engine off and reconnect the IAC wiring.
