Ok so i have a tbi engine and an external coil for the dist. I already have the connectors for the coil, but I dont have the end that plugs into the distributor via the 2 pin connection.
I found this GM part #12085496 and a pigtail from summit that replaces it (PCO-5600PT). Is this what I need? If you google image search the gm part # you can see what it looks like.

I also found what I think would work from NAPA

(http://www.napaonline.com/MasterPag...Description=Ignition+Control+Module+Connector) or (http://www.napaonline.com/MasterPag...Description=Ignition+Control+Module+Connector) ,
but when I called the guy wouldnt even check for me and told me they didnt have what I needed.
I am just trying to get the distributor side pigtail because it is cheaper that way. I have seen the whole connector on www.aztpi.com and that is where I will get it if I cannot find the pigtail for cheaper. Thanks guys. Let me know what you think.

Those pig tails are in almost every parts store "help" section. I just found a used cable in the wrecking yard, but you can find them online pretty cheap too.

I think you can pick one up from a chevy dealer for under $30. I think I had to replace the same one and I found it in kansas city at westfall odell gmc. Itwas only about $15.

Just get one from the wrecking yard. Every GM vehicle with an external coil that I'm aware of uses the exact same piece. So Camaro's and later trucks as well, plenty of them out there. This is one of those pieces I'd NEVER buy new unless I had no other option.

Yea, I am slightly retarded these days. Everytime I need something I forget about the wrecking yards. Maybe its because I have never been to any since I moved here. Time to make a trip out there.

I bet if I would have gone to the junk yard at the start of my swap it would have been done by now and for a lot cheaper. :doah: :doah: :doah:
