tbi motor cuts out at idle

Hi I have a 90' fullsize blazer tbi
every once in a while the motor will cut out when parked at idle. like it shorts out for a second

whats really weird though is when I'm up in the mountains
the problem is way worse. It will short out a lot more when I'm sitting there,
but it wont do it when I give it gas.

the motor wont die just shorts out and makes a clicking sound
do you guys have any idea where I should start looking

Does it ever idle really low?

no, it seems to idle normal accept for when it cuts out
but when I get in high elevation it does seem to run worse

I wonder if the clicking is a relay cutting of and then back on. A loose ground could cause it.
