Wasilla AK,
The 383 part isn't my concern LOL its the Supercharger and big ass honking cam :eek1::eek1:

best i can say is read the info brian has on his site and then ask a few questions of him. he will answer and is full of info.

I'm looking for some advice or a website for building a 383 stroker with TBI

I haveall the parts to assemble the long block already just wondering if TBI is even possible

Its 9.0 to 1 comp
LT4 hot cam
Vortec bowtie heads http://www.sdparts.com/product/25534421/SBChevroletCompleteSmallPortVortecBowTieCylinderHead.aspx

I have a Holley 77-144CSBE supercharger for 88-95 chevy TBI that will also go on it ( the top is interchangeable so I can run a a Carb instead of TBI

With that setup I don't think tbichips.com is the way to go... You'll be WAY ahead of the game if you run one of these http://www.dynamicefi.com/EBL_Flash.php

It has all the necessary computer parameters for running a supercharged setup (2-bar MAP support with boost SA retard and fuel multiplier tables and 3D: Boost vs. RPM). That being said your not going to be able to get much over 400hp with a 2bbl setup no matter how much pressure you throw at it which is why I recommended the EBL in the above link. It has drivers to run dual 2bbl tbi's which would be more then enough to feed the beast and much cheaper then MPFI.

It also has a feature called VE learn which will REALLY help you with tuning. It pretty much tunes itself.

You could do a chip from brian but more then likely you'd be leaving alot on the table and it wouldn't run up to it's full potential.

Check out www.thirdgen.org and talk to RROB (inventor of the ebl). He will tell you everthing you need to know.

so basically I need to ditch the TBI idea? My combo "should" be good for over 425hp with out the blower . With the blower I would think 475-500 would be possible

Not necessarilly. If you can run 2 2bbl's on the blower then your good for 600hp. If you can't then your stuck around 400-450hp and you'll be straining those injectors. I did alot of research on tbi setups when I did my swap and I know theres a guy on thirdgen.org running a single 2bbl on a blown motor making 430-450hp.

Basically on a single 2bbl it'd run lean up around 4500rpm. As long as you stay under the rpm where it's starting to run lean you'll be ok but you'll be leaving power on the table.

You "could" do it but once you start spending that kind of cash tbi doesn't make much sense.

400 for the computer
250 for one 2bbl

Add another 250 if you plan to run 2 tbi's. (you could probably get a junkyard tbi for 30 bucks and buy new injectors though)

To be honest... now that I look at the prices you'd be pretty close to a mpfi setup cost wise.

Don't know what's out there for mpfi setups but you might want to look around. I know the megasquirt setup has gotten good reviews.

well the plan was to run this motor in My V3500 with a 4l80E but so I was kinda hoping to stay away from aftermarket stuff cuz I want the cruise and other things to work

I guess I could use my Diesel 4l80E controller and run a after market MPFI setup

or i could just use the supercharger on something else

It'd be ALOT cheaper and easier to just leave the sukercharger off. You'd be able to stay with a 2bbl and a chip from brian would work.

yeah super chargers out I'll put it on the stock motor thats in the truck now
