If you have a prom "bin" file thats for a manual shift truck should it have things setup in that "bin" like TCC? I think that is for a "torque converter clutch" for an automatic. If that stuff is set aint that "bin" for an automatic trans??

I'm thinking your asking about '7747 .bin files? I think it depends on which software is being used to read the .bin file, TunerCats / TunerPro. I've updated my TunerPro '7747 XDF recently, and noticed several changes. In TunerPro the '7747 .XDF shows a parameter for Manual Transmission, but with TunerCats, I don't see a parameter for Manual Transmission. I think for the most part, some TCC (Torque Converter Clutch) parameters are still carried over into Manual Transmission .bin files for DFCO (Deceleration Fuel Cut Off) programming. For the most part, I think DFCO is almost the same for both manual and automatic transmission once the TCC unlocks and the vehicle begins to slow down. I would think the "Coast" is about the same for both auto / manual trans, once the manual transmission clutch is engaged.

I searched high and low for a "bin" file that was for a manual only and I think your right that the TCC stuff carries over, they all seem to have it. My XDF file does have a check box for "manual trans" and I found a file on Moates site that was from a 91 4x4 5.7 5 spd and copied it and removed the EGR stuff only. Burned it and dropped it in, WOW! That chip is way better than the old file I have been altering for months. It even made the temp gauge run cooler? (if thats possible) I'm going to drive with this chip for awhile and see if milage improves as well??
