Yes. You can dump the smog pump and the cat with no ill effects on truck TBI. The ECM does not look for function of either component. Loosing both will give a little performance boost and help pollute the air with good smelling HCs which is Far better than all that stinky diesel poop.
All other sensors and componets are needed for proper function of TBI even EGR. If you disconnect the EGR yout engine will rune fine but the ECM does look for it. If it sees it is not operating it will not allow the timing to advance properly with the fuel curve and light the CEL. Disconnecting your egr wont give any better performance at all. But will hurt cruise and overall fuel economy. Leave your EGR on it is good for your engine if operating properly.
