So i research this months before investing in CFM Techs TBI spacer. Knowing that if i spaced my TBI up i would throw of the geometry of the kickdown cable. However i also found out that CFM Techs TBI spacer also comes with spacers for the kickdown bracket. So i made the purchase and installed it and readjusted the kickdown cable by pushing the tab in and pushing the lock all the way to the firewall and then releasing the tab and holding full throttle till it clicked into place. It seemed to run fine but maybe a month or less later i lost 3-4 clutches on my newish tranny. I think it is due to low fluid as it dumped a bunch of fluid before i knew it and i drove it low.:doah:

What im asking is who else has run the TBI setup with kickdown spacers and have they had problems with it? I really don't think it is related to my tranny going out but i dont want to find out when i put the new tranny in! I emailed CFM Tech but have not herd back. I am going to call them today but wanted to know others opinions.

i installed the cfm tbi spacer, injector spacer, and injectors 4 months ago and couldn't be happier, truck runs nice and strong now. I also had to adjust the TV cable and have had no issues. And I go wheelin just about every weekend.

I installed mine about a month ago. Its still not perfect, shifts a little late in 1st. Need to work on it a bit. Hope i dont mess up my new tranny.

Sorry man. That sucks.

I didnt use the spacers. I cut and extended my bracket that holds the cable 1". checked setting and it was right on. works great for 6-8 months now
