I have an 86 blazer camr from factory with carb. 305 have swapped a 92 tbi motor with Painless wiring kit all appears to be well however I can not get it to run. I thought it was the timing so I discod the wire that controls the timing from the ecm per the timming instructions the vehicle will run for about a minute with this wire unplugged and die on its own. When the wire is plugged in the the engine will turn over but not start. Also when the engine runs with the wire unplugged it runs very rich. Any ideas? Thanks

im having a simmilar problem

mine had a map sensor unplugged and ran real rich I plugged it back in and its no longer running rich now I cant get it to run unless I pour a little gas in the TBI then all is perfect untill I turn it off and try to restart well anyway I dont know if you have a map sensor on that year but if you do check it out and also look for a colapsed vacum hose
