what di i need to switch to carb i have a 87 blazer what intake and carb do i need to do this and how

ok, couple of options you can order a intake for carb that will bolt to your heads, or if you have one laying around you can hog out the bolt holes to fit your heads. When chevy went to fuel injection they changed the angle at which the intake bolts to the heads. As far as a carb i would run a holley, but the size will deped on what mods have been done. If you haven't done many i would recomend a 600 cfm.

need a fuel pressure regulator as well. If you want to maintain the fuel pump(I would). A good regulator(with a return) isn't that expensive. I got a really nice one for $105, thats one that will do carb or EFI pressures(I plan to switch to EFI down the road).

Just out of curiousity why in the hell switch from TBI to carb? Just wondering on your reason for doing this. Still looking to pass emissions afterwards?

Thats what I was thinking . I love my quadrajet , but if I had access to the TBI , I'd run it . Another excuse to have more spare stuff in my trailbox , seriously , I'd run TBI if I had it :D

Don't forget the distributor- you need a vaccum advance style. Also, you will need to fab or buy a bracket for you throttle cable and your tv cable for the 700R4 transmission. Check out these guys:

Make sure to get the tv cable adjusted properly to prevent damage (that's what everyone says anyway).

im in the process of doing the same thing, but im going to a carbed 454.

i got rid of the elec. fuel pump for a mech. fuel pump, swapped out the sending unit as well.

i can get an emissions waiver so im not worried about emissions anyways.
