tbi troubles

A quick and dirty test is to disconnect the return line and put it over into a gas can. Crank the truck and check for return fuel. If you get just a trickle or nothing at all - your pump is shot or you have an internal tank leak.

With the fuel connections under the right side of the truck, hooking up a gauge takes maybe 5 minutes albeit somewhat messy.

yea ill have to go get a pressure gauge and see what its at. but yes i agree i need a membership cuz im always on here and i have a 78 blazer im building and a 87 1ton pickup that also always under the knife, im really thinking about it now.
anyway i think i might end up getting it running good again and selling it and put the money into my blazer, not sure yet though
 
I agree that it sounds like fuel pressure:waytogo:

Read through my thread in "The Garage" and you'll see I've been fighting some TBI issues lately too and it's once again the Fuel Pump which was just replaced a year ago.........I've posted a permanent fix for fuel pressure with the TBI system.
 
hey guys thanks for all the replys on this, i did the fuel pump this morning and now it runs like a champ!!
