Is the "big ring" on top of the tbi a spacer? Mine is loose. Will this cause the truck to run bad? Is it put on with a gasket. How should I replace it. Any help would be appreciated.

The ring on top is just a spacer to keep the air cleaner from contacting the TBI. It doesn't use a gasket or anything and if it is loose it will not affect your performance. You can tighten it by screwing down the wingnut on top of the aircleaner assembly. A throttle body spacer goes between the throttle body and the intake manifold.
