My beautiful 1990 3/4 Suburban was stolen and trashed. Most of the body is ruined, all the interior is in great shape - stereo. The front left rim is destroyed and the rancho front lift is partially damaged.
The engine seems to be fine no damage at all.

This motor I rebuilt two years ago with JE Flat top pistons, new Vortec heads, Edelbrock performer cam, ceramic headers, GM off road aluminum manifold, Turbo City Throttle body kit with everything spacer, bell, new injectors, and a new chip/prom.
I spent about 3000 total on the new motor.

The burb is rolling, I took out the transmission and the transfer case was ruined. What should I do with this. Where would I post this stuff for sale. Should I pull the motor out or sell the whole thing together.
What is this worth?
Thanks for the help!

hey man, let me start by saying welcome to the site...and im sorry that something like that would happen. some people out there are so damn unconsiderate it's rediculous.

hmm...in my opinion, you should pull the motor out and sell that seperate.....then part the truck out and see what you can get. there is a for sale forum on this site man.

I am afraid of cutting the harness or screwing something up in removal, I thought it might be worth more with it running in the burb? I am willing to take a hit for the time involved. How much less is it worth in the frame?

Personally, if I were to buy a motor, I'd love to hear it run first. Especially when dealing with something someone else rebuilt. Better to hear it run than take someones word.

You could always try Craigslist, OR, you could just get another truck and drop your motor in it. :)

You've got the donor, a K5 would be an easy drop in project (pretty much any year) and a pickup truck wouldn't be too much more difficult.

I doubt you'll get anywhere near the money out of the motor, that you put into it. Maybe half, probably less. :(

From teh sounds of things, i say fix what is mechanical, and beat teh snot out of the truck! It sucks that it had to happen this way, but now you have a good start for a trial rig. Get out teh sawzall.......

Sorry to hear that. But do not take this wrong!

I am getting strange feelings off your post. The only time I ever did not listen to the feelings I got shot. Something is not right....

You had no insurance? There are a few burbs on eBay in parts section for sale.
