I have a bent a Tuff Country front 2" spring and want to replace with a similar spring set from ORD. The custom Alcan/ORD springs are at least a 5-6 week wait, a bit too much flex for hwy IMO.
I'm a few hours away from hunting and OHV areas, so I liked the semi stiff ride of the TC "softride" springs with bilstein 5125's. They handled pretty good on the freeway and on mild/intermediate OHV and hunting trails. I'm not looking to gain travel I'm just hoping to get the best quality of these off the shelf springs.
They now carry
Zone
BDS
Skyjacker
I'd like to install them within the next couple of weeks.
If things change has anybody had ORD Alcan make a stiffer hwy spring? I've only read how flexy they are.
Thanks

Those are 325 lb/in which is super light and soft. Look up the details of the individual springs you’re looking for and if you get one close you probably won’t tell the difference.

I will keep looking and maybe email or call manufacturer for specs unless someone has them already. I 1675961613829.png this but have heard its outdated.

I love the BDS springs I have in my truck.

Really good on road, really good off road. If you pair them with a good shock you will be good to go.
How do the BDS compare to your 4" rough country springs
I have the Bilstein 5125 valved at 360/80 which were perfect for the TC springs. the 255/70 valving was too soft for my needs
Thanks for you help

BDS compared to Rough Country was a night and day difference. I kick myself for not going with them sooner, when I actually drove the truck on the road. Multiple people who have ridden with me wheeling have said what a difference those springs made.

As far as an off the shelf spring, I think they are the best bang for the buck out there unless you step up to custom ORD springs.

I don’t think bds offers a 2” from the quick glance at their site. Might be slim pickings for that short. My procomps are 2.5 and 525 lb/in.

I’m good with 2-3” thanks for the replies
If do 2” I would add a zero rate from ORD
My last 2” TC actually was 3”+

Fwiw, at one point i had 8” BDS springs front/rear, and it rode better than the 4” rough country springs they replaced. Put that in your pipe and smoke it.

Ive got 2" soft rides with 1500 miles on them that i would let go for a good price
