I have a question. I did a search but cant find a specific answer. My Tcase seems to be in 4hi when the shifter says 2 hi. If i force the shiftwer forward it comes partly out of 4 hi but then slips back in. I just bought the truck a few months ago. 91 K5 with 350, 700R4 and 241. It has a 6" lift installed by the PO, springs up front and blocks in back. It looks like he also installed a 1" tcase drop. Could the lift and tcase drop have messed with the shift linkage?

To adjust it do you just take the cotter pin out of the linkage at the shifter end and then adjust the nut to effectively lengthen or shorten the linkage then reconnect? i am guessing that i just need to lengthen it a 1/2" or so. That way the shifter being forward will push the armature at the tcase back a little further. Does that sound right.

Thanks for any help you can give.

That sounds right but if its not, its not going to hurt to try that first because you can always put it back.
