So the motor is coming together nicely, got the cam installed today, crank and pistons already in. Did a bunch of cleaning on the carb and other goodies. Just a couple of teaser pics of the cam to wet your whistle :wink1:

Some of the specs...

-496 stroker
-JE forged pistons 11:1 compression
-CNC ported Bowtie aluminum rectangular port heads
-Comp Cams custom grind roller cam : 248/[email protected], 0.715/0.715
-Crower ultra light pin oiled roller lifters
-Scorpion enduro roller rockers
-Skat forged crank

More pics to come as it gets toward completion

Nice sounding build. Looking forward to seeing the complete thing. I have a 454 I want to stroke too.

Thanks Rob, I only have the time to work on the motor on Saturdays, but its coming together. Get some more pics next weekend :D

Ouch, I know how you feel, one day a week of free time to make progress on anything just sucks ass. But if that all ya got right now then do what you can. Working 3rd shift 7 days a week, I have zero time right now for progress on anything. End of May or early June, I should be back on days and off the mandatory OT. Then I plan on getting back to my projects big time. What kind of HP and TQ numbers do you expect?

Yeah it's a damn long process only doing one day a week. Maybe when it gets closer I can do two days a week. But at least progress is getting made and it should be done before the big bear trip. At least I hope so, already reserved a site for Friday and Saturday. But I digress, to answer your question...horsepower should be around 620-640 and torque the same or a bit more. These numbers are from a program that I have that estimates the power based on the parts. Once it's together I will have it dyno tuned and post the numbers.
