Tech question - trans swap

I found a guy who is parting out a 78 K5. It has a turbo 350 & NP205. He wants $450 for the tranny and t-case. Says it is all running.
So if I decide to do it, I need the trans, t-case, drive shafts, cross member and what else?

Should I get the column or pedal assy? I don't think I want to mess with it right now but down the road I might want to switch the column but I think I'd rather have one from a 72?
For right now with my time and skill I'd be happy to get the swap done and the K5 back on the road.

'78 K5 should have a TH350/NP203 if it's stock...be diligent enough that you can visually identify an NP 205 and an NP203 yourself before buying anything. They do look somewhat similar in some regards.

OK, so I figured out that I have a 205. Now all I need is a th350, cross member, and drive shafts? Or since I am going to use the same t-case do I need new drive shafts?

What do I need to know about the th350 mating up to the NP 205? I have read a lot about splines, different adapters, etc.
My bro-in-law builds hot rods in town and told me he can get me a rblt th350 for $400 out the door (no trade in or core) from the guy who does all his trannies for the shop.

Before I do that I want to know what else I need and where else to get it.
What should a cross member cost me?

I still need ideas on shifters too.
