My temp gauge doesn’t work, today I took the gauge panel out to see if I could fix it or replace gauges, the new once I have don’t work with the cluser so I put the old one back. I moved the gauge needle to zero and put it back in the truck, turn the ignition on and the needle went from 0-Boiling in 0.5 seconds and doesn’t go back. (Truck has been parked for 2 days so not warm)
Would this be a gauge, wire or sensor problem?06F0A9F8-6F4A-47FE-BB1C-EC542CC89729.jpeg

That usually happens when the wire that connects to the sending unit is shorted to ground. A lot of times it will melt to the exhaust manifold.
