I have a 1984 GMC k1500 and would like to replace the temp. gauge. Does autometer make an electric gauge that fits in the existing location? If so, how hard is it to install? Can I use the existing wiring? Where can I run wiring through the firewall? Please walk me through the process of installing a temp. gauge. Thanks

Why not use another factory one? Should be cheap at a junkyard, or you could prolly get one from a member here (I have a pile someplace.)

There are a coupla grommets in the firewall above the steering column made for this sort of thing; I think I've added more wires to my '74 than it had from the factory, but then it's a bit simpler than your newfangled truck =))
