temp sensor wire color?

hey guys my 85 k5 lost track of my temp sensor wire so im gonna wire a new one off the fuse block on the engine bay side. Does anyone know what color the wire is and where its situated on the fuse block???

Temp sensor wire for the temp gauge located in the left head is a green wire.

do you know if the green wire traces to the fire wall?

It should go through the bulk head connector and inside the cab. Just not sure what location the wire is.

I may be able to see it on mine. No inner fenderwells.

It goes to the bulkhead connector, far drivers side, second wire from the bottom.
The wire below it is black.

hooked up a wire to it and ran it to my sensor on the head and it doesnt do anything ... did i do something wrong?

Check for continuity with a multimeter. THAT will tell you if the wire is good.

Resistance also changes on the temp sender as temperature changes, the way to test the sender as well.
