91 gmc jimmy 5.7 tbi, temp gauge acting up...always off the chart. Seem as if there are 2 different sensors one on the driver side head and one next to the water inlet. Which one is for the gauge please?

Sender is for a gauge, sensor is for the computer. The parts monkeys will mess up every time if you dont know that information or have that part in your hand when you walk in.
