I have a 74 chevy truck with stock ac that has been removed can i put in a non ac heater control and have it work ok?

Does yours have vacuum actuated plenum doors? I think it does. the vacuum hose manifold for ac will be different than just heater and def, and vent.

i think its cable so if i have no vac hoses i am good to go?
if no vacuum doors yup gtg
