temporary gas tank strap solution????

ok here me out before you make fun of me cause i know its gonna happen...i need to drive my truck this saterday about 30 miles total...i ordered i set of staps (cause i broke mine) and they wont be here by then i dont think..i have a rachet strap holding it up now (getto i know)...if i put a couple more on it for a temporary fix would that be safe...i can see why it wouldnt even if i used wide staps...im gonna fix it the right way i just need to drive it saterday...remember just temporary...and the truck wont even have a half a tank of gas in it...

I say go for it, but don't let the ends of the straps hang down or anything.....if you got pulled over cause someoen noticed it, you might be screwed.

As long as you strap it down good, and it is temp. like you say.....why not?

my buddy has been runnin around for like 6months now with his tank strapped on like this...he's a dumb*ss. i dont ride in his truck...
 
i say do it. my truck has a marine gas tank in the back with ratchet straps holding it down. been like that for a while. temp. fix that never got fixed right. just make sure they're not frayed a bit or bye bye gas tank
