Thanks to all that helped me get power to my dash, I do have power now. I do have a couple more questions. These are for a 1981 or similar K5

First off, where does the temp guage wire come from and what does it look like (color of the wire, connector type)? I could trace the wire from the guage, but I would like that to be a last resort. I do know where to hook the wire to on the drivers side of the engine, I just need to know where to find the wire.

Next question, in the fusebox there is a 75 amp fuse, it is the only 75 amp fuse in the box, my question is what is powered by that fuse? Most of the labels on the fuse box are worn off and that is one of them. I was thinking it might power the dash lights, since I don't have any dimmer/dash lights at the moment? If not, what fuse powers my dash lights behind the guages?

Thanks for your time!

The temp wire should be green in color and comes down along the driver side of the intake manifold and crosses over the valve cover with a 1/4" female spade connector.

There is no 75 amp fuse anywhere in our rigs, it's probably a 7.5 amp fuse. Not sure what it would control though, maybe take a pic of your fuse panel so we can see the location and someone can check there's and let you know what circuit it is.
