What would you guys recomend to beef up a 10 bolt front axle? Anything for a 14 sf rear(six lug). This be mainly a driver that will occasionally haul. I'd like to put some type of locking diff. front and rear. Maybe even selectable if possible.

If money is no object, for the rear I'd go with the Eaton E-locker. It's been factory installed in the SF for some time, so should be well proven by now. If it's not a wheeler, a tight Eaton posi would be good too. Actually, a Gov-lock would work well too, but it'd be just as cheap to install a posi as get hold of a gov-lock. (that isn't bad lol)

No help on the front, sorry.

I'd like a selectable or something in the rear but I don't think they have anything for the rear I want to run. For the front I was thinking maybe a truetrac? But what about axleshafts? I ran the truck pretty good back in the day and never had a problem with a shaft or joint but I only had 33x12.50 mud kings and a mildly warmed up 305. I plan on running a 350 and 35x12.50 for the roadmanners and 35x15.50 for mud?

I bought a truetrac and yukon axles w/usa alloy joints for my 10 bolt havent got em installed yet.

I'd swap a FF in with a Detroit in the rear, and leave the front open.

Gain some weight capacity/durability in the rear, and don't subject the 10 bt front to teh abuse of a locker.

If you are talking mud, no question it's either a selectable or a true locker.

14SF will take a boat load of punishment, but anything other than a locker is a waste for mud I'm sure.

If you are really planning on being hard on it, then yes, 14FF is a better choice.
