Anyone on here know how to test the VSC temp probe on a flex-a-lite electric fan? I need to know if mine is bad before i buy a new one. Their site does not offer help without talking to a person. I know it is just a resistor hooked to a wire and that i can put it in hot water up to boiling and check resistance. But who knows what the meter is supposed to read Cold?, Warm, Hot? Any help would be met with great appreiation. Thank you!

i have the setup your talking about.. it's sitting in my shed waiting to be installed, i had it in my 97 chev pickup.. the probe's rarely go bad from what i hear.. but i would still advise against using it.. my radiator started leaking shortly after i pushed it into the fins.. either i pushed it too far, i pushed it too close to the edge of the rad, or it was just a fluke.. my rad was brand new(only about a year old) and when i pushed it in.. it was about 5 rows down and as far in i could get(closest to the fans).. but it still leaked.. i think there's adapters you can get so you just cut your upper hose and replace it with another section of hose with a built in T for a sensor.. probably alot more accurate as well.. but to awnser your question.. i'm not sure how to test it.. maybe call flex a lite tech?

i sent them an email the day i posted this...got a reply back saying " i dont know...but i will find out and get back to you when i do" that was on 28th.
