if no ramp can be found to test flex and measure where i need to move my shocks, what can be used? also is there anything that is likly to break when im testing flex if so is there a way to fix it before it breaks, a friend told me you have to build kinda hoop type thing to mount my shocks when i move them to center of axle is that true, and being that most of you have alreayd been throug the trial and error period do you have whati would need, any advise would be highly appreciated /forums/images/graemlins/k5.gif

You can use a fork lift, or back hoe, or anything you can lift one tire with. You need to build some kind of a support for the shock, the hoop is the most commonly used, and is pretty strong.

i used a loading ramp in the back of a grocerystore once.

i also used a loading ramp.click link below and look at the truck flex pix.if anything go out to the woods and put each tire up on a big rock and check what gets stretched out.brake lines is the first thing to upgrade before you try and flex it out.

savage1, that's an awesome K5!!! /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif /forums/images/graemlins/pimp1.gif

Did you use Ford 60? Where'd you get the powerlock and how do you like it.Does it make steering hard like detroit? 88SWB HiPin D60,BEST mod yet!!!! /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif /forums/images/graemlins/truck.gif /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif Wish I could figure out how to get pics of my rig on here /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

A ramp is best...

Check shock travel by ramping with them connected and then ramping with them disconnected. That will tell you if you need longer or not. Keep a sharp eye on brake lines too...

Any lifting method will work though, just keep your personal safety in mind. Don't crawl under the truck if it's up on some rotten log...

Do you know any tow motor drivers, that can help you out???

When my ex-girlfriend got rid of here 89 Accord, she was going to let use it as a ramp /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif...BUT, my truck was still in pieces in the driveway and I couldn't get it together in time...

I just just use the concrete barriers that line loading ramps for semis and also the concrete base of light poles in the Super WalMart parkiong lot work as well...
