TH 350 in a TBI truck?

can this be done? if so can i eliminate the detent/tv cables by installing a manual valve body? any input is appriciated. its in a 87 truck with a 350 and a 208 case.

So what are you trying to do?? They came factory like that, so don't see why not. Why go full manual, the TV cable will go on like the 700 will. You can put any trans you want in, all the computer needs is the VSS on the back of the speedo...
