Anyone put an NP 241 on the back of a TH350? I assume you need the NP241 adapter, but what about the output of the trans? Does it need to be swapped or cut or anything? I guess it would be the same as an NP208? Help me out guys, TIA!

I have an 88 -up ifs style 241 in my truck with a th350 and a 208 adapter no problems . i do not know wbout your shift linkage tho. the th350 and th700 have the same spline but the 700 shaft is shorter , hence a shorter adapter .
Thanks!!! I've got the shifter covered, but was unsure on the adaptor & legenth of the trans output shaft. Do you know if the 241 & 208 adaptors are the same/interchangeable? This trans had a 203 on it so I need an adaptor, just unsure of which one.

IF you want to put a 241 on you truck you will eithere need to change the trans output shaft or get a custom adapter .the 208 -208 trans output shafts stick out of the trans about 5-6 inches or more .

The 208 vs 241 bolt patterns and spline engagement are EXACTLY the same. I've replaced 208s with 241s and vice verse. The shifters are different. The slot for the shifter is 90* off between the 208 and 241. Simply cut the shifter end off, turn it 90* and weld it back to the shifter and you will be good to go. Someone should be able to get a picture of a modded one.
The 700R4 and TH350 have different output shaft lengths. A TH350 adapter is longer to deal with this, if you were to use a 700R4 adapter it would work but you would need a spacer. Adapters for a 700R4 will bolt to a TH350 and vice versa.
The amount of shaft that engages into the 208 is the same as the 241, no difference.
