Th 350

I am having an issue with my TH 350 (It has a B&M shift kit)...I figure it is just a matter of adjusting the linkage, but let me know what you guys think. If I place it in drive it will not go into first gear, but I can place it in first manually (if it is cold and I place it in drive, it will shift through all three gears fine, but it will not down shift in to first after coming to a stop.) So, what do you think...Linkage or governer?
