i posted earlier on the year specific board and was informed that my turbo 400 tranny doesn't have a detent cable and instead it is electrical kickdown via the gas pedal to switch is this true? and if so does anyone have pictures of this setup. i have been tring to resolve this problem and cant figure it out.

when i floor it there is no kickdown

thanks guys:doah: :dunno:

I have a th400 in my 90 and never hooked the kickdown up. I just shift it down manually when needed. I might eventually hook it up but I doubt it. Yes it is electronic. There are several kits available to make it work.

thats the exact factory setup. the 3 bolts on your gas pedel piviot point come off and remove the stock plate and bolt this on and plug in the power wire to the fuse panel and run the orange to the tranny. bam its that simple. shifter dont mader as it runs off the gas pedel.
