TH 400 questions

I have a 2WD version of the TH 400 and I am wondering what I need to do to convert it to fit in front of a NP 205. It has a short tailshaft if that helps out at all. The tranny was just rebuilt so all I need to do is get it to fit my application. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have a K-series TH400 HD sitting in my shop right now I am ready to unload, it was in front of a 205 I'll sell it if you're interested I'm in Baton Rouge.....

eitherway converting guts is way easier, plus without a longwheel base truck running a divorced setup is near impossible.

also you have to keep in mind that you need a 32 spline 205 or need to convert your 205 to 32 spline to use it....

That would make it much easier to do the swap that way. What will you take for the TH400? I sure am glad to see another K5er in the area. Let me know.

A 2WD TH400 will work with a 205. Same shaft..
